Kelly Mcgrath Yoga for a Healthy Back

In today’s culture, the back is one of the most common areas where we experience pain and injury in our body. For some, it’s a result of our work environment; others often injure their backs doing physical exercise.
During this workshop, you will learn through lecture, discussion and experiential yoga:
- The anatomy of the spine
- Look at common human movement patterns which can cause injury
- How to prevent common back injuries through correcting your own bodies alignment and movement patterns
- Learn yoga asanas to strengthen and heal your back
- Learn how to relieve acute lower back pain with restorative yoga
Kelly Mcgrath, owner of the Joy of Yoga Studio and director of Yoga Teacher Training, is a certified and experienced Kripalu Yoga Instructor and Shiatsu Massage Practitioner. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Kelly began practicing yoga as a young girl in the 1970's with her mother. Since then, she has inspired and taught countless through community yoga classes, workshops, conferences, and yoga teacher training. She is a compassionate and knowledgeable teacher, whose classes are challenging, safe and infused with spirit to uplift the heart.
